If you have chosen to visit my site, you are probably dealing with a serious family situation--especially if you are thinking about divorce, your kids or your money. You may be considering hiring a lawyer or simply looking for some advice. This is why I created Three-Track Family Law--so that you have multiple choices. If you and your mate have decided to stay together, I can help you mend your relationship through my personal program that includes reconciliation law or mediation. We can also help you with Collaborative Law and Litigation.
Three tracks. Your choice. We at Michael Hiller P.C. can help you with whatever choice you make and help you take action.
Why I decided to be a lawyer
I come from a family of lawyers, so you could say that it is in my blood. Since I have been around lawyers and lawyering my entire life, I have always had the desire to be one myself. In the past, I tested myself in other career areas, and dabbled in entrepreneurial ventures, but this was the field that I became most passionate about. Everything I do now is related to helping families through law, mediation, or marriage coaching. I find it both challenging and rewarding, especially when it comes to offering clients choices like collaborative law and reconciliation law. I am truly grateful to have followed my passion, and I hope that I can help you.
I feel that my work experience, education, and life experiences have made me a better lawyer. For example, my wife and I both come from a large extended family. In our families, we love, fight, and argue, but we almost always find a way to resolve our differences, whether about money, kids or one another. When we don’t, then we resolve to stay away from each other for a little while. That’s what good lawyering is all about - knowing how to care for others, listen, speak, and resolve conflict. And when all else fails, turn to someone else to resolve the conflict – just as you can when you hire Hiller Law Firm. I chose my primary area of practice because I love socializing and relationships, which is what makes a good family lawyer to begin with. Of course, family law requires a love for dealing with the issues that your clients bring with them – kids, money, and everything that goes with those two issues including business, property, credit cards, education, children, marriage, health, relationships, parenting, professions - pretty much life. Basically, a good family lawyer prefers the “Game of Life” to say, “Monopoly," because your family law case may involve any life issue.
